Social media has become so powerful in every aspect, it can be our source of information and inspiration where we can be influenced, but for some business-minded people, this can be a great tool to market their business. These days, if people venture into business – tourism, and hospitality industry-related business, one way to market it is through social media. Social media has been a useful device to make a business grow and succeed which is why entrepreneurs are utilizing social media since people are into it. There are lots of potential clients, it’s very convenient, and is easy to use. For instance, hotel owners can easily market their business by providing relevant and consistent information and responding to clients’ requests quickly, people build their trust in a tourism agency based on the reviews of the others, and people research their desired destination before going on a trip to avoid unnecessary problems. In other words, social media has transformed the way people make decisions.


Customer service is another important aspect of the tourism industry that has changed through social media and made brands and businesses reach customers directly. When people are unsatisfied with a tourism service, they can call the companies to resolve that. Solving the problems of the customers in the kindest ways will lead to a better reputation for a company.


As per my perspective, the use of social media that will help me in sharing travel articles and photos is through sharing opinions and reviews. For instance, I had traveled to many places that people also desired to go to but don't have any single idea or knowledge of that specific destination. So through posting and creating travel articles/blogs according to my experience they can get information, reviews and opinions may it be restaurants, a place, an accommodation, or even people, this might help their decision-making much easier. Reviews and opinions are very useful not just to travelers and clients but also to the business itself. Tourism and hospitality-related business owners can ask people to share their feedback or testimonial on their social media pages which will automatically convince more people to come and purchase the products they offer.
